The buzz slide is done in between three different tones, namely, the base, a fourth tone and back again to the base.

 

Every time you repeat, half step actions will be necessary.


Another vocal warm up exercise involves the fifth slide.

 

Begin singing the syllable ‘wee’ using a fifth tone.


Same tones will be used to repeat the exercise but this time using the syllable ‘zoo’. Hal-step movements are again needed.


The descending scale of five tones is next.  Begin with a fifth tone and then go down towards the base in stepwise fashion.

 

Move in half-steps again then go over with other syllables.


Do the 8-tone scale and arpeggio both in descending fashion next with half-steps in every repetition. Finally, octave slide with half-step movements will finish the warm up.


Do these as part of your warm up vocal exercises and you will notice the difference each time you sing.
